Welcome to Masterworks Chorus of the Shenandoah Valley! We are enjoying our 14th year of singing and performing in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia! Our current 61 members come from all areas of the community.
Grants and Donations Received for 2009-2010 Season
Since April 2010, Masterworks Chorus has been the recipient of several exciting grants. We received funds from The Shenandoah Community Foundation to establish a pilot choral scholar and soloist program to include up to 7 students in the 2010-2011 year. We received a grant from The Marion Park Lewis Foundation to help fund a commissioned work from Virginia composer Aaron Garber for a world premiere performance, in collaboration with the Arts Academy Chorale of Winchester, in April 2010. Similarly, we received a Project Grant from the Virginia Commission for the Arts to pay for other costs associated with that collaboration project. We are so pleased and fortunate that we continue to receive this recognition of the musical opportunities Masterworks Chorus presents for our audiences in the Shenandoah Valley.
