The Masterworks Mission
The mission of the Masterworks Chorus of the Shenandoah Valley is to promote choral music and other artistic endeavors in the Shenandoah Valley region through performance, education, community involvement, and cooperation with other area musicians and artists as well as other musical and artistic organizations.

Why do we sing? Is it just for applause or better, from a friend, a favorable comment? P
erhaps there is a deeper reason and because of that we must go on, regardless of compliment.
The gift of song is rare and can only be God-given; for man, with all his skill can only use the human voice, not produce it in a lab. Having this gift, we are driven to sing our song and let the whole wide world rejoice!
This world without music would be the poorer today for singers equally with those who only listen for us. And who can say what benefits our song can play or what lives are made brighter when it's sung in chorus?
So, we sing, and are uplifted within by our song as we bring joy to who knows how many in its worth? And somewhere the angels sing along, thanking God that we carry a little of their song to earth!
